The company Karl Weiss was founded in 1956 as a producer of electrophysical materials. Since 1978 the company is part of the worldwide technological group “Schunk”. Today the parent company operates under the logo Weiss Technik and consists out of two subsidiaries: Weiss Umwelttechnik GmbH – climatic test systems – and Weiss Klimatechnik GmbH – cleanroom technology and conditioning operating rooms. In 1986 Weiss Technik Benelux is established in Leuven.
Vötsch - Heraeus
Since 1929 Vötsch is specialized in climatic simulation equipment. The company starts in Berlin by producing cold-heat test cabinets. Then they concentrate completely on the parameter “humidity”. The first climatic test cabinet is born in 1935. In 1973 Vötsch becomes a subsidiary of the Heraeus holding, the “Heraeus Belgium” in Liedekerke was founded in 1989.
Weiss Technik Belgium
In 1995 Weiss Technik takes over the department of climatic cabinets of Vötsch (Heraeus). Both Belgian offices are merged and become Weiss Technik Belgium in Liedekerke. Thanks to this merger our customer benefit from a more extensive choice. There is not only a larger amount of standard equipment, also the specials for both companies are brought together.
